Asperger's Disorder

Some of you might have never heard of "Asperger's Disorder" before. When my Psychology lecturer announced that my group was going to do a presentation on that,my teammates and I were like, "Ass-what-disorder?" So I've done some research online and gathered most of the information I could get for my presentation (this coming Thursday!) and what I came to realize is that Asperger's Disorder is an incurable syndrome. A person suffering from this could be slow in learning, and in other words, "different" from normal people. It doesn't mean that Asperger's patients are retarded. God no! They can talk and act like normal people - it's just that they're not really able to connect 100% with their peers, or their environment. And their disorder basically revolves around their social life. It's kinda sad... but millions of people out there are suffering from this disease. I stumbled upon this video on Youtube about a young lad who has this disorder, and he gives a very detailed description about what Asperger's Disorder is like, and how he feels about it.

I really like about what he said at the end of the video. =)
And he's right about it. Why change the way you're made?
All that just narrowed down to one thing:
Be thankful for who you are.

How many of us really are, anyway?

Sushi

I love sushi. Don't you? :)

Alright, frankly speaking, I never really adored sushi because I
dislike seaweed. Most people think seaweed is like the ideal snack but I never liked it. I'd normally peel off the seaweed before attending to the delicious content of the sushi. Yeah, I'm weird, but I just don't like the way seaweed tastes. It feels like melting paper. Until today, I won't say I'm a fan of seaweed, but I've learned to enjoy sushi with the seaweed. In fact, the reason why I'm blogging about this is because I've got nothing better to blog about, and I just had sushi for dinner today! :) Is this random or is this random? Haha.

Lately, I've been freaking out over exams and assignments. Wednesday was probably the worst day of the week because I went back to high school and collected my SPM results, and it's obvious that my results weren't above average. I was
so scared when I walked into the office that day and the clerk handed me my SPM result slip, and I instinctively flipped it to the other side I wouldn't have to look at my marks - not yet. It took me about 10 minutes to actually calm down and slowly turn the paper over... and when I did, I wasn't sure whether to be contented or disappointed. To be precise, I got 4A's. The rest were just B's and C's, and I got a freaking D for Chemistry. I don't give a damn about Chemistry, just glad I didn't fail. But I couldn't get over my disappointment with my EST. That's like, one of the easiest subjects on the list. In fact, most people would say that it's the easiest subject compared to all the other 9. I just didn't think I'd get a B for it. When I told my parents about my results, I half-expected them to launch into a painful lecture, but they didn't, to my surprise. My dad was fine about it but my mom wasn't. She didn't lecture me though. We argued over it for a while, but made up in the end. I've learned to understand that SPM's just a stupid exam that determines whether you'll get a place in the course that you want in college - and whether you're lucky enough to score a scholarship to finance your fees. I mean, it's quite important but it's not that big of a deal now anyway. Lol. But since I didn't do very well in SPM, I'm definitely going to do better in college!!

I spent the whole week worrying over my Physics test, which I absently thought was tomorrow. Then when I checked my calender this evening, I realized that my Physics test was
next week. haha. Silly me =p But that's a huge relief.

Chilie is finally back from the Sarawak mission trip! At church today, she was telling me some of the lame jokes she learned throughout the trip. The jokes were so un-funny that they actually became funny. That's what lame jokes are about, right?
Chilie: What do you call a drink that makes you fat?
Me: I don't know...
Chilie: No. It's plum juice (plump juice)
Me: .....
Chilie: What's the longest drink?
Me: Driiiiiiink?
Chilie: It's Longan.
Me: Gosh, what happened to you?!

Hahaha Chilie's finally become lame! Yay! Don't worry, girl. God heals the lame ;)
Apparently in Sarawak, they eat WORMS. Like, huge, fat and juicy white worms. They said that those worms are very rich in protein. She described it to me, and it sounded like a scene right out of Fear Factor.

Imagine having to eat that!
Verrry rich in proteins.

I'd pass out.

Happy Birthday Gloria!

To my dearest beloved friend Gloria Chieng Sze Ping,
THIS POST GOES OUT TO YOU!!!

Happy 18th, babe. May you continue to shine in the Lord's grace and mercy each day. This year is gonna be a great year for you - so cherish every moment of it! You're officially a young adult now. Keep growing spiritually... (no need physically la you're already so tall) haha. I'm in the midst of studying for my exams right now, but I purposely took some time off just to post this for u. see what a good friend I am? =p Anyway, since this post is specially for you, I'm gonna write my heart out!
We've known each other since Form 1 - and I still remember that we were both two very shy girls in church. but as the years went by, you've grown so much and you've encouraged me so many times during some of the toughest moments in life. Thank you so much for your cards, letters, phone calls, sms-es, emails, and everything else that you did for me to remind me how blessed I am for having a thoughtful friend like u. And thanks a heap for being sooo patient and tolerant when I ranted on and on about stuff that didn't make any sense. Haha. Basically, just thank you for always being there, for being the sweet and unique person that you are. Don't ever change!!
I love you babe! Once again, have a wonderful birthday! [enjoy the mission trip, take lots of pics ok!] And welcome to College in advance! =D

Lots and lots and lots of love,
Me.
Who else lahh.

Wrinkle in the Run

When things get tough, just remember that the rough patch you're going through will eventually be just a wrinkle in the long run.

This is so gonna be a busy week.
