Teardrops On My Guitar

Drew looks at me,
I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about
And she's got everything that I have to live without
Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it's so damn funny
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me

He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,

I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night

[Chorus:]
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star

He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly,

The kind of flawless I wish I could be

She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause

[Repeat Chorus]

So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down and maybe
Get some sleep tonight
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar

The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart

He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
He's the time taken up, but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into..

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.

Lame

My mom is by far one of the funniest women that I know. I wanted to tell her a lame joke today and she was supposed to laugh at my joke, but I ended up laughing at her instead. Here's what happened. A couple of weeks ago, Ethan told me some really, really super lame jokes. Some of you might have heard them before, but for those who haven't, these were the jokes he told me.
(Warning: Very Lame Jokes. Don't put the blame on me. These aren't my jokes. ^^ )

Him: Hey Carrie! Have I told you about the water joke?
Me: No.
Him: Ahh. Nevermind... It's too deep for you.
(Took me some time to comprehend the meaning of the joke, but I did get it eventually)
Water = deep. Get it? o.O

Him: Did you hear about the butter joke?
Me: What about?
Him: Don't want lah. After you spread it around.
Me: Eeee... =.=

Him: Ok lah, I tell you a different one. Hmm, you heard the wall joke before?
Me: Nope. What happened?
Him: I don't want to tell you. Later you can't get over it.

And lately it just popped into my mind, so I decided to just share one of those lame jokes with my mom. I chose the butter one, and this was what happened:
Me: Mom, have you heard the butter joke before?
Mom: What butter joke?
Me: I think I better not tell you. Later you spread it around.
Mom: No I won't spread it around. Just tell me the joke.
Me: You don't get it.
Mom: Don't get what? What's the joke?
Me: I already told you the joke.
Mom: When?
Me: *slaps my forehead* Aiyo. Just only laa. You don't get it!
Mom: *she's completely perplexed* Huh? Tell me again. Maybe just now I wasn't paying attention.
Me: That was the joke lah. Butter. Spread it around? You know?
Mom: Ohhhh. Chehh. What type of joke is that?
Me: That's called lame joke, mom. And lame jokes don't need an explanation. XD

Sometimes, my mom can be a little too uptight you know. I just felt like I needed to loosen her up a little. =D Maybe she'd get used to it in a while. Haha.

I'm outta here.

Last day of Finals tomorrow: Physics!

Stress!

I've never posted twice in a day before. Count this as a breakthrough. Anyway, I'm having American History as the first exam tomorrow morning and I'm like, 0.1% prepared. I've to accumulate like 4 months worth of studying into these last few couples of hours I have left before the clock strikes midnight. Have you seen the textbook? It's gila thick. Like, 5 times thicker than Harry Potter.

I must be crazy for taking American History in my first semester.

I must be nuts for thinking I could cope with the pressure of having 5 subjects for a start, in which 4 of them require intense reading and understanding.
And now I'm freaking out because my final exam is tomorrow and I don't want to fail.
So since I can't really study everything from the text book right now (it's gonna take me ages to finish it) I have to study through www.en/wikipedia.org/ It's very reliable and it's so much more convenient than the text book. I don't need to flip here and there to get the main points.. Thank God for the internet!! And thank God for wikipedia.

What on earth am I still blogging here for when I've got a major test to study for? I don't know. I was so stressed out that I needed to get it all out. So I decided to lash it out on this post.

Yeah, and wasted 5 minutes doing this. Haha. Okay, I feel slightly better.

Time to get back to studying.

Back in High School

On Sunday, my Youth Church organized a special event: High School Day! All of us were required to wear our school uniforms to church that day. Even our darling Pastor Rose was in her pinafore. I still keep my high school pengawas uniform with me, so I wore my comfy baju kurung. I felt like I was wearing pyjamas. So baggy and comfortable =D Hehe. Anyway, some pictures to describe the event and bla bla. (courtesy of Aaron)

FGA stands for Full Gospel Assembly in case u didn't know :P
(I think that guy in the picture was Darren)

A creative mosaic pasted on the wall. I like it!

A tired-looing me and an energetic-looking Aaron.

People all thought we were from the same school. Uh, we're not. It just so happens that both our schools decided to choose yellow as the color of our Prefect uniforms.

A group shot of some of the Youth Leaders.
Spot me! XD

Now that I've successfully produced an update, I can get back to studying my brains out for tomorrow's papers: American History and English. 2 papers in one day. =( Killer sial...

Dream Vacations

It's still a long way till I get to go for a good vacation abroad, but listing out my dream places could do no harm, right? :)

I wanna go to Disneyland! It doesn't matter whether it's the one in Hong Kong, Japan or in America - Disneyland is a magical place where dreams come true!

And then there's
Gold Coast Australia which everyone has been talking about. I'll go on the most exhilarating roller coasters and rides for the thrill of it! And Movie World, and Sea World, and Water World, and whatever worlds they have there.

Next destination:
New York City yo!! That city is alive all day and night - it's bursting with energy every second of the day. How cool would that be? :) Then I can shop shop shop at their ultra big malls too and sip Starbucks while eating the original Big Apple donuts. Drools.

And I've always wanted to check out
Switzerland ever since my mom told me that they are the pioneer for the best chocolate in the world. But Switzerland is a breathtakingly beautiful country with the snowy mountains, lush green meadows and everything about that picture below just screams peace and perfection!

When it's winter time, I want to go to Korea because apparently they have one of the best landscapes when it's snowing. Lol. I've never seen or touched real snow before. That's because I've never been overseas. (sigh)

Last but not least, I've always dreamt of visiting this peaceful and serene valley. It probably exists somewhere, but nowhere I can think of.

That's a painting, silly. =)
But a pretty inspirational one too.
Made people like me wanna go there.
And live there happily ever after.
Amen.

One day, I'll go for a three-month holiday to all these dream spots I've ached to visit. Then I'll blog about it. ^^

The Heart of KL

On Sunday, I went to Bukit Bintang with Aaron and Han Sean. We walked from Lot 10 to Sungei Wang to Pavilion to Sungei Wang and back to Lot 10 again. Pictures speak a thousand words, so I'll just let them do the talking - while I commentate :)

To be frank, it was our first time going to Pavilion. We've been living near KL for most of our lives but have never once stepped into the glorious shopping mall - not until a few days ago :)

This is the inner view of the mall. It's so classy that even the elevators are diamond shaped to represent luxury.

Situated just after the entrance in the heart of the mall, is a flight of clueless stairs for clueless people.Aaron said this was a perfect place for couples, but I don't think so. I call it the "stoning stairs". People just go there and sit down and stare into space - that's stoning.

This was on the front of a designer shop. It was so cute, I couldn't resist snapping a picture! (The rabbits were bobbing up and down simultaneously)

What's a luxurious mall without Guess? That's Sean doing a perfect pose for the brand. ;)

The mall was big with soothing lights and a wide corridors to stroll, but everywhere I looked, I saw designer shops like Guess. DKNY. Gucci. Chanel. Coach. Anna Sui. I could just die drooling at their windows... XD Anyway, there was one shop which didn't deserve to be there. And I couldn't believe it when I saw it too. BATA. I'm not against BATA or anything, but I just had to laugh when Sean said, "Eh? What is that Buy And Throw Away shop doing here?" Exactly.

Since we couldn't afford the clothes, we went down to the Food Republic which was crowded with people of all ages and ethnicity, as well as a large variety of tasty delicacies! (Tony Romas was there.)

Guess what's that?
Tosai? Nope.
It's butter.

We were craving for dessert, so we went to Milky Lane!! The cute little dessert shop selling one of the sweetest ice creams and waffles you'd ever find.

We certainly do :)

Sean couldn't resist the colorful tables and cute marshmallow-white chairs.

Aaron on the other hand, wanted this:

He went, "OMG so cuteee! Let's sit here! See, perfect for 3!"

I quickly went with Sean's choice of seating, and we sat on the marshmallow-white chairs.

We ordered this delicious-looking hot fudge chocolate sundae with a cute marshmallow to top it off.

And a waffle with three dollops of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with sauces and banana slices in the middle.

I pigged out along with them. o.O Haha, they ate like 80% and I ate like 20% =p

Well I bought a white Vincci watch from Sungei Wang before we went to Pavilion, and that stupid mechanism conked out like two hours later, much to my horror. So we walked all the way to Sungei Wang through the rain and nearly got hit by a speeding bus. (Thank God we're all alive!) And when we got to Sungei Wang, I told the salesgirl to get me a refund.
The emotionless woman who looked like she'd been forced to work there told me that she could only change my battery, but no refund. So we had to wait for 15 minutes.

My three favorite shoe brands: Nike, Adidas and Voir ;)

Were you aware of a unique toilet cubicle located directly outside Lot 10?

Sean and his quality Guess pose.

They even have a whole list of buttons for you to mess with. Hehe. You slot a 20 cent coin into the hole and the door slides open. Curious Aaron just had to try.

COUGH COUGH. Get a room! :)

PS: He wasn't really peeing, duhh. It's all just an act !

At the end of the day, we were Happy Three Friends.

And my white watch conked out again on Monday!
Moral of the story: Don't buy watches from Sungei Wang. Sure conk out wan.

27 Dresses

Went to Sunway Pyramid after class ended yesterday, and met up with some of my college CG people - CheeLiang, Han Sean, Aaron, Joanna and Qian. Jo and Qian had already watched 27 Dresses, so they watched The Spiderwick Chronicles instead, while the rest of us went to see 27 Dresses.

27 Dresses

What I liked about the movie: It was funny.
What I didn't like about the movie: Too cliche, no cute guy.

The movie was pretty romantic, though. After it ended, we began talking about our future dream proposals.
CL said, "I want to propose to my future fiance on the beach. Damn romantic loh!"
HS said, "You go to the Port Dickson beach lah! Free of charge!"
Aaron said, "I want to propose on the boat! Just like the movie."
I think HS said he wanted to propose in a beautiful garden. I can't really recall what he said.
Then they asked me where I wanted to be proposed, and that got me thinking... and I realized that I never thought about that before. Really, I mean I've thought of my perfect dream wedding before, but I've never thought about the proposal... and proposals are apparently pretty important too. You can't just have a cincai one, because you're probably going to have to re-tell it to your friends over and over again when they ask, "So, how did he propose to you??"
And I think this is the guy's duty to use his creativity to the max - to come up with the most romantic proposal he can think of.
And it's the girl's duty to brag about it.
Lol. Well, that was a good question. My dream proposal. I'll dream up about it and blog it here one day. =) But you know, marriage is still a LOOONG way more. When I get a boyfriend, I'll start thinking about it. Haha. I'll have all the time to slowly scrutinize and plan out and wish for the perfect proposal.

Silly me. I'm supposed to be studying for my Physics make-up test. (I failed my previous one because I um, forgot to study for it... so um, I have to study harder for the next one so I um, don't fail it.)
Haha some people are just so funny. "Make-up tests" generally means repeating the test when you've failed it, so you can have a second chance at passing it.
Yesterday at Nando's, over dinner, I told my friends that I was having a Physics make-up test on Monday.
CL widened his eyes and went, "Sorry? Make-up test?"
Qian asked, "Uh, what program are you doing again ah?"
I replied, "American Degree Program."
Qian, "Wah so cool. They teach you how to make-up also?"
At this point, my eyebrows were raised. "Huh? Why so random?" Since when did I mention about ... ohhh!! They didn't get my statement!
So I explained it to them and they started laughing and CL was like, "Sorry! I thought you meant make-up as in, the normal kind of make-up."

Next time, I'll just say
test. And if it's another make-up test, I'll just say redemption test.

W.T.H.?

I couldn't believe it when my dad actually sat me down yesterday after dinner and demanded that we had a serious discussion.
Dad: Honestly. How are you coping with your studies?
Me: Uhh... I'm doing okaaay I think... it's a little tough but i'll be okay.
Dad: How can you say that? If you're starting to struggle now, you better voice it out. This is for your future, not mine nor your mom's. We're concerned about you and we d
on't want you forcing yourself to go through the subjects you don't like, because you'll just add more pressure upon yourself.
Oh shit. How did he know? Was he talking about my Physics or American History?
Me: I'm just doing my best...
Dad: Yeah I know that. Now, what your mom and I have proposed.. is that we send you to Singapore in July and you can pick up Mass Comm there. It'll be better for you.
Me: Whaaat??? Why????

Basically he just went on to say that Singapore's a better country with well-known institutions that are better for Mass Comm, and why should I waste time studying other subjects which are not related to what I want to do in the future... and because I have many relatives in Singapore, it'll be easier for me. And it's alot cheaper than going to America too. While he was talking, I couldn't digest everything in. I was shocked and stunned and scared and for a moment, I thought he had to be kidding me.
But he looked so serious, I knew he meant what he said.

Me: Eh daddy. You sure about this? You and mommy already paid for my AUP course. If I go to Singapore, I'll be wasting my time spent in college here and you will be wasting your money.
Dad: I know, but it's okay. At least you learned that AUP isn't the right course for you. It's not too late to continue your studies in Singapore. Just finish up the next few weeks you have in Inti college, and next semester you won't be there anymore.
Me: Easy for you to say. What about my friends??

Dad: You can make new ones in Singapore.
I was really, really reluctant. But I thought about what he said.. and it made a lot of sense.
I mean, I'm pretty sure I'd be majoring in Mass Comm, but the reason I'm doing AUP is because I wanted to get a wider scope of the various fields of study first before finally moving into the Mass Comm direction. And I never regretted joining this program in INTI college. I'd met lots of new fun people here who really made college life pretty interesting for me. So to leave this place in a couple of month's time.. and start over in a new environment appears scary. And I didn't want to go at first...
But I guess that's a better option.
So yeah. I'm leaving in June and will be starting at a new college in July. I know it's going to be scary, and I'm not ready to just throw away what I have now, but it's probably the best thing to do for my future. I might like it there. I hope I would.

Lol. I'm sorry that you wasted your time reading all that bullshit.
XD

If you haven't guessed yet, you're SLOW!!
It's April Fool's Day, and I was thinking of something to blog about but somehow I couldn't think of anything better than this. Hahaha. I'm sorry! :) But thank Youu for reading. And thank Youu for your patience. You're awesome! LOL. Of course I won't be going to Singapore to study laaa! All that was just crap. Simply made it up cuz I heard my brother mentioning "Singapore's Uni shut down" just now so that gave me an idea. And a rather stupid one too! :P Although AUP is a tough course right now, I wouldn't trade it for another course. And I wouldn't trade my college for another college too. =)

U got P'nked! =D

In the AUP office at college today, my friend was saying, "You know, whenever you're stressed right, you can just log on to this website and type out all your problems there and the counselor there will help you. It's a great site for releasing stress."
I was sitting at the comp with another friend. So both of us eagerly asked him for the web address. My friend told us, "www.guanyinma.com"
I couldn't help it - I started laughing. "Where got such website called guan yin ma???"

"Really! Don't believe you go and try."
My other friend beside me was already hitting the keys on the keyboard with anticipation on his face. He typed in www.guanyinma.com
And this was what we saw:

My friend was like, "Ehh where is it?? Where to click? Why don't have wan?"
"It's a joke lahhh! April Foolz!"

=.=" Lol.... right.....

Next time if I wanted to release ANGER, I should just go to www.samyvellu.com... or www.badawi.com would work the same.

Anyway,

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!! ;)
