Bomb in College

I've finally found something to blog about. College life has been interesting so far despite the crazy workloads and assignments, but today was just one of those really interesting days that I'd remember for the rest of my years. I was on my way back from lunch when there was a massive road block outside Taylors College, so my friend who was driving the car called his friend and found out that the whole of Inti had been evacuated just minutes ago because there supposedly was a bomb planted somewhere within the college.
All the students and staff had to leave the building at once, and most of them left their belongings inside the college because they had no time to grab their stuff. People were crowding outside the college and when I phoned my friend, the first thing I got was: Oh! Thank God you're alive!!! We waited outside the college for almost 30 minutes. I took a couple of snapshots (just to blog about it)

Pretty bad view. XD Sorry.
Took it from Asia Cafe. As you can see, it was really crowded.

A rather blurry shot... (what's happening to my k750i?) whatever. they sealed the entrance to the college while pending the arrival of the Bomba people and the bomb squad.

That's the Bomba car. The driver just parked it in the middle of the road so there was a major jam behind it and no one could pass through. They arrived like 10 minutes later.

What was funny about this was that everyone seemed extremely calm and even excited about the whole commotion of having a bomb planted in the college. (I was one of them) We've heard about such cases happening in the United States and the students there would be fleeing for safety - but maybe Malaysians are just more of the curious species. Students stood at the brim of the roadside, taking pictures of the college and some could even eat waffles at that point. Then the principle and the policemen were standing outside the college, talking to each other as though having a bomb buried in the college was just as minor as having a small case of AEDES infection. Then when the Bomba guys arrived, they even had time to "salam" each other and shake hands!! (maybe they felt like this was the last and final meeting) And they were smiling. Like this =D Crazy. But anyway my friends and were standing there laughing most of the time lah. Lol.
I don't know what happened after that because I left to play foozball in AC.. haha. But when I came out again, the bomb was still not found. Apparently, the police got a call from an anonymous person claiming that there was a bomb placed in the college. So for everyone's safety, they had to evacuate the entire building. Interesting. I don't know if it was a hoax, but it seemed serious. This might even make it to the papers one day! XD
