Revived

Like I promised, I'm finally UPDATING! :)
I didn't think I'd be that busy during my 2-week semester break. Today marks the final day of my holidays, and I'll be back to college tomorrow. This proves one thing: Time really, really flies.
I thought I'd use this holiday to bridge back the gap with God, since I'd been so busy during my examination week that I barely had time for God. He's always been there for me, but I've never always been there for Him. So during my first week of holidays, I headed off for my College CF Camp. It was held at Cameron Highlands, some thousand meters above the ground or something, since it took us almost one whole hour to get up there. The whole journey from Subang to the campsite took about 4 to 5 hours. (That's about the time taken to travel from KL to Singapore) On the way up, I got a little dizzy. A few of us were actually playing Chor Dai Dee on the bus. I was so dizzy that I couldn't concentrate and I almost finished my bar of Mentos Barley Mint. Everytime I felt dizzy, I would pop one into my mouth. (Hey, it helps. It actually took away part of my dizziness :) )

Okay, PICTURE TIME!
These are the double-deckered bunks we slept in.
(Not bad lah, quite comfy.)

Those are not rubbish, okay!
I was unpacking. Hehe.
(And that's my tortoise up there. Cherie.)

The place we stayed in was something like a triple-storeyed building with a small compound that didn't provide much space to walk around. So I spent most of my free time either in my dorm, or out at the benches chatting with friends, or playing Chor Dai Dee in the dinner hall.

It was blistering cold up there. On the third day of camp we headed down to Tanah Rata for lunch. The shops in Tanah Rata are really organized. All the banks are at one block, and across the road are all the food shops. Everything is clustered together according to genre. In KL, if 2 restaurants were side by side, the bosses would worry about losing their business. There's a thing called competition in business, but maybe it doesn't happen in Cameron Highlands. They only have one school there, I think. And the kids all wear brightly colored jackets to school.

Don't mind me. I was simply posing for the heck of it XD
But it was a steep journey back to the campsite.

One thing I really, really hated about the place was that they had loads of creepy insects and bugs. And the bugs there aren't the ordinary kind of bugs you normally see at home. They're GIGANTIC, weird and oddly colored. I spotted this metallic green beetle on the floor.
I've only seen ugly brown ones before. A shiny green one captured my eye.
(Was wondering if it was poisonous)

The bugs there are the size of cockroaches. I'm not joking. They fly around and make this annoying whirring noise. And practically everyone's afraid of them because they're so big and disgusting. There was one time when all of us were in the main hall listening to a sermon given by Pastor Andy Yeoh, and this really big cockroach-like bug flew in and started hovering above our heads. Naturally, some of the campers screamed. Lucky ones like me and my friends had our hoodies on, so we threw our hoods above our heads and sat as still as possible, hoping the bug wouldn't drop anywhere near us. I love hoodies. They rock! XD (haha. Randomness) But really la. I love hoodies.

Anyway, if you happen to go up to Tanah Rata, don't forget to check out this shop called The Tea Cafe. It's a comfy little cafe that sells really delicious homemade food. One of its specialties is the cream scone. OMG. The scones there are fantastic! They're perfectly baked/roasted/marinated/whatever to perfection. Definitely the best type of scone I've tasted.
On the plate: butter rolls, whipped cream and the majestic scone.

On our way back to KL, we stopped by Cactus Valley for a while. By the way, 90% of the plantations there were gorgeous flowers, and only 10% were cactus. The cactus weren't worth looking at, but the flowers were beautiful.

I've no idea what this is called. Uh, white hibiscus?

As you know, purple excites me :)

The place seemed more like a botanical garden to me.
And nope, no cactus in sight.

Spelling check!

Well, the holidays are coming to an end in exactly 1 hour. Pretty soon, I'll be back in college going on the same routine as I used to. I hate it when life becomes a boring repetitive routine. I enrolled for 5 subjects for next sem: Malaysian Studies, American History 2, Religion, Macro Econs and Concept of Calculus.
Gee. I really, really hope that I'll be able to cope with all that.

The old building of Inti College has been torn down. (Well, part of it)
The pile of bricks and dust once resembled a block of classrooms which I used to study at.

As much as I was looking forward for the new building to be up, I'll really miss the old building... for memories were embedded there.

Thinking about it, I just started college only 4 months ago. I was naive, excited and anxious on my first day. A nice senior showed me to my class when I was lost. I made tons of new friends there. And now, it's time to move on and start over at a new place.

I'll never forget how fun the first semester of college was for me.
Sure, it had its ups and downs, but that's what life is about, isn't it?

I'm off to a fresh new start tomorrow! Can't wait.
Gonna be more hardworking too.
Like, I need to spend more time on my studies, and less time on the computer.
I guess I'm a little bit anxious because it's the start of a brand new semester. New faces, new classrooms, new subjects...
But then again, I'm reminded of that BIG GUY up there who promised that He'll take good care of me, and all I need to do is to Trust Him in Faith :)
If you know what I'm talking about, then you'll know that nothing is ever impossible as long as you put your trust and faith in Him, for He will most definitely guide you through each and every step of your life.
And with that, God bless You and have a great week ahead! :)
