When Fantasy Intrudes Reality

Wonderland is a land painted with exorbitant colors and talking animals, a place only found in the mind of a young imaginary girl, Alice Kingsleigh. Well, for a teenager, she certainly has a vivid imagination. If you've read the book, the movie isn't much different... except you get to see your favorite movie stars prance around in weird costumes... and oh here's a hint : Johnny Depp does a spectacular dance! ;)

I won't spoil the movie too much for you, just in case you haven't seen it.

Johnny Depp starred as The Mad Hatter. He looked like a cleaner, more sober version of The Joker, don't you think? Loved his dance at the end of the movie. It was called the Futterwucken! (Or something like that) That was one heck of a ridiculous dance, that's why I couldn't take my eyes off him.

Matt Lucas was the morbid twin brothers; Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Overgrown babies :) The twins were sooo cute, in a weird way. They look like Humpty Dumpties.

Some people said the Cheshire Cat was a hauntingly beautiful character; I just found it haunting. Full stop.
It's the face... it's definitely those large turqoise eyes and overstretched grin. It looked like a demon cat.

Anne Hattaway looked lovely as a White Queen, and she naturally represented elegance and gentleness. She was very ditzy, though. She spoke in a dreamy manner and waltzed while others walked.
I loved her castle, by the way. The entrance was lined with blossoming sakura trees! So pretty.

My favorite character would have to be the Red Queen! Credits to Helena Bonham Carter for playing her role so well. She was fun to watch; a skinny woman with an enormous bobble head and heart-painted lips. You would expect the evil queens to be smart, as shown in Narnia and many other movies, but the Red Queen was the opposite.
While the White Queen was rather ditzy, the Red Queen was dumb. I couldn't stop laughing each time she appeared on the screen and screamed, "OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!" That's all she ever knows. Watch the show and you'd understand.

Hmmm... nothing much about Alice, though. She was just a girl who tumbled down a hole and spent alot of time asking "Am I the real Alice?". Yes, she got confused. Who could blame her? Lol.Anyway, watch it if you haven't. I mean, what do you have to lose??

Your mind, maybe. Haha. Don't worry, you'd get it back after the movie :)
