Rejoice in the Rain

Each of us has a goal in life; something that we all aim to achieve.
We're all aware that pain and a certain amount of displeasure has to be taken into account in order to reach our final destination, because nothing comes easy - typical advice given whenever we're faced with a challenge. All this while, we've been living each day in pursuit of our ultimate goal - the one thing that drives us to fulfillment. It could be the joy of obtaining your driver's license, or scoring straight A's for your Finals. Our goal becomes our destination at the end of the road, and we're often too driven to notice the journey that we're going through to achieve our destination. More often than not, we ignore, or are oblivious to the things that occur along the way as we drive ourselves to perfection, focusing on the prize that keeps us going. We lose ourselves in the process of getting what we want. We forget that life's a journey we should be proud of, not just a pathway to obtain happiness. At the end of the day, it's not our goal that changes us, but it's the little things along the way of attaining that goal that produce an impact upon our lives. But that will never happen, until you learn to observe and appreciate the things, the people and the events around you.

Sometimes, when we're faced with a bad situation that tears us down emotionally, we mope around and choose to dwell in self-pity, hoping that someone or something may come around and lift up our spirits. When we do that, we shut out everything else and everything revolves around the dilemma that probes our thoughts. We're too caught up with our problems to ask ourselves, "What can I benefit from this?"

Who knows, there could be a reason why we're actually forced to endure something like this.
At the end of the day, what initially seemed like the biggest challenge in your life would be just a tiny rock in your path that you could easily kick off the road.

Be happy on your journey, and not when you reach your destination.
Cherish every moment you have; bitter and sweet; for each moment bears a significant meaning in the history of life.

You see, Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Life isn't beautiful when it's all perfect. It's the imperfections that strengthens us and refines our maturity that contribute to life's beauty.

When you look back at your life into the past experiences, ask yourself: How much have you really grown?
