Today's update:
It was the middle of Borges's class. (For those who don't know Borges, he's my American History lecturer, popular for locking the doors if you're 2 minutes late and also for being particularly fussy during his lectures)
I was craving for a break. First of all, I was freezing. Secondly, I was beginning to get that annoying prickly feeling on the soles of my feet. Borges had mentioned that he wasn't going to give us a break today. Damn. Then, miraculously, something that sounded like a worn-out car alarm started ringing. Then a monotonous voice blared from the speakers: Attention everybody. This is a fire drill. Please make your way out of the building as quickly as possible.

This was the first fire drill I experienced at Inti. Suddenly I felt like I was back in high school when we used to have all those pathetic fire drills... where they'd make us all gather in the field under the scorching hot sun for about 30 minutes while they babbled on the safety precautions if ever a fire would to take place, and scolded us for taking such a long time to reach the field. And all of us would be too busy wiping our sweat and fanning ourselves to bother.

Today, we took our own sweet time to get downstairs. The stairs were crowded with people. At the rate we were going, (if there was a real fire), we'd be cooked before we even left the building. Lol. So we waited in the open car park for like 15 minutes until the policemen finally decided to let us back up again. =.=" Most people felt like it was a total waste of time, but I couldn't help thinking that the break came at the right moment. :)
