The holidays are over and I'm officially back to college now for my 3rd semester. Considering it's going to be a really short semester, most of us decided to take up 2 subjects. Some of my friends took 3. Kudos to them - it's not easy juggling 3 subjects in 7 weeks! I took Philosophy and Public Speaking. I am blessed with some of the best lecturers in Inti this sem =) Mr. Eddy for Philo and Ms. Kalai for Public Speaking.
Eddy's really funny and in his class, anything goes. It's Philosophy; where endless questions meet no answer.
In Public Speaking today, Kalai asked some of us to describe ourselves by comparing ourselves to either a fruit or an animal... or anything you want. She gave us 5 minutes to think about it, and then randomly called out names and the chosen ones would have to go out there and talk for a few minutes. There were some rather interesting ones.
One guy looked quite blur when he got up there. He was still thinking about what to say. Finally,
Him: I think I'm like a snake.
Wow that got my attention.
Ms. Kalai: A snake? Why would you say that?Him: Snakes always sleep after they eat. I'm like that too.. after I eat, I go to sleep.
Ms. Kalai: Okayyy... but snakes are usually used to represent the type of personalities that people don't like... you know, devious, sarcastic, cunning, those that can't be trusted...
Him: Ohh.
Ms. Kalai: (jokingly) So, are you like that?
Him: *silence* Yeah. Sometimes.
Ms. Kalai: You mean you can't be trusted?
Him: Sometimes lah.
Hahaha. Okayyy. Well, that was clearcut and very frank, not at all subtle and snake-like. But I liked his honesty.
Then it was my turn. I just cooked up something random. I wanted to say "I'm like a mango" because I LOVE mangoes, but Jay Hong said that already.
"I'm like a grape... because grapes are small and so am I! Hahaha. And the reason I chose grapes is because I like purple."
Well, those are true facts wat... I'm petite. Lol. (I get to wear high heels ok!!) And I really love purple. I said a bunch of other stuff... Which isn't that important anyway. Those were just silly little things that didn't make sense. Hahaha. Enough of that.
By the way, I watched Wall E and You Don't Mess With The Zohan last week.
Wall E was average. It was completely overrated. It's just about 2 robots who fell in love and I don't want to spoil it for you if you're planning to watch it.
You Don't Mess With The Zohan... all I have to say is WTH?! The storyline's absolutely ridiculous!!! If you liked Borat, you will definitely like this one. At least Zohan's much better looking than Borat. Borat looked like a clown.
On a random note, I don't know if I've mentioned this here before...but some people just crack me up.
My Physics lecturer thought LOL meant Lots of Love!!!!!!
I seriously LOL-ed when she told me that.
She's almost 50, I think. Or maybe a lil younger. Hahah I don't know.
But she told me her friend sent her an sms with LOL in it and my lecturer replied with "LOL to you too."
