As a journalism and creative writing student, one of the worst things that can happen is writer's block - the ominous mental block that suddenly curbs the flow of ideas from spilling onto the fresh page. It leaves me stumped and frustrated.
Someone said way to get over a writer's block is to just keep writing.
"Doesn't matter if your ideas aren't coming to you now, they eventually will as long as you just keep writing what's on your mind."
It's like turning on a rusty tap. The yellow, murky water trickles out first before a fresh stream of clean water can begin surging out.
I think that's a great idea. It's worked several times, but half the time my brain's just too exhausted to produce anything worthy of reading.
If you have figured a way to overcome writer's block, please feel free to leave comments below. :) Thank you!
